Milsurps / Prohib Winchester Model 1897 Appreciation Post
Howdy Folks!
The Texan is back with yet ANOTHER Gun Appreciation Post! Today we have an all time classic, and the best part? You can still get them in Canada if I am not mistaken, and Norinco made copies of this shotgun to revive it, along with Cimarron Firearms.
You recognize it from plenty of games such as Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption II, as well as plenty of films such as The Mummy. This gun barely needs an introduction! The one and only! Winchester Model 1897!

Probably the nicest looking pump action shotgun ever made it's just too bad the design is crazy complicated and is loaded with so many small parts it makes it a nightmare to service.

My Norinco isn't anywhere near perfect, came missing a shell latch screw but, it sure is handy in the woods. A really sleek and nice looking design in a version I don't mind beating bush for grouse and camping with.

I just wish Norinco actually made a trench variant. The main thing people like about this gun is the barrel shroud and the only way to put one on is a ton of welding and hammering on your own

• Defend the right to keep and bear arms like it’s their job (because it kinda is).
• Own their gear, maintain it religiously, and never skip dry-fire day.
• Uphold the Constitution without apology. Shall not be infringed means shall not be infringed.
• Carry responsibly every damn day, because rights without responsibility are just noise.
• Hit the range religiously, spread good habits, and call out unsafe “tacticool” clowns.
• Educate the next generation so the line stays strong for another 250 years.

Also had the infamous ability to slamfire, which made it so effective in trench warfare
