You dont have a lever action... so... cowboy up!

I second this. Maybe a Henry .22 and/or .357? Or go Winchester if the budget allows.

If you need cheap 357, my rec is to wait for a Citadel Levtac to go on sale. I see them go for 800 quite often

You get a rail for optics, peep sight, modern handguard, all for 800 bucks. Typical Rossi quality control means you should probably tighten the screws, maybe soften the edges of the loading gate.

Yeah they are good value for sure. Some 38 ammo doesn’t feed that great, but zero issues with 357

If OP can handle and inspect the Citadel before buying, that is a good one to have. If ordering online, it's a bit risky. Especially the off-centre bore issue.

I have one too. Good deal for a decent rifle. And it's small, really easy to handle, cycles well (unless you mess something up, woops) and always goes "bang".

Like you said, Rossi quality for sure. But a good entry level lever nonetheless.

Yeah I really want a .357 lever. I just don’t what one to go with haha

Henry is really nice if you want to spend around 2000 with the rail mount and Midwest or RPP handguard. If not then the S&W stealth hunter for around 2300 which would already come with the nice handguard and rail

Got with a Marlin 1894 SBL for sure

Is that the RIA TM22 Feather?

How is it to shoot? I bought one a few months ago, and haven't had time to take it out yet.

Mine shoots like a fucking dream

Base model or upgraded?

2

u/Technoaddict Mar 07 '26

Base

u/Fit_Fuel_6515 Mar 09 '26

Damn okok, when did you get it? And does the polymer feel good, and high quality? I have only ever used metal.

I have a buddy who uses CCI and says with that it works good with them.

I run CCI mini mag 40grain and it works perfectly. I think I got the tm22 from basspro. It was on sale at the time but it’s available at many places. For $400 it feels decent to average. I have since gotten an Sks and shotty so definitely feel the weight on those forearms more!

I’ve only put about 50 rounds through it but so far there have been no issues!

3

u/lordjuan132 Mar 05 '26

Not a feather it’s the all aluminum version with the Alex homebrew charging handle kit

Got the bolt action. Got the Semi auto shotgun. Got the shorty Shockwave like gun Got the sks Got the semi auto 22 (x2) Got the full  stock pump  action.

Next? I'd be looking at either

  1. A Lever sction.  For a budget option, I recommend a Citadel Levtac for the modern option, a Rossi r92 for a classic option.  Prices go up and up from there, but I'm a cheap gun guy.

  2. Break action shotgun,  either over under or side by side! I like getting them from  Intersurplus, as they get cheap European guns there. My old Husqvarna side by side from them was cheap but is wonderful

Such a blatant hatred of money.

u/Melodic-Street-8898 Mar 05 '26

How u shoot that sks without a front sight??

2

u/ThursdayLines674 Mar 05 '26

I need to get a red dot for it. Still a work in progress lol

1

u/Melodic-Street-8898 Mar 05 '26

3

u/Paint_Spare Mar 05 '26

1

u/AllDay1980 Mar 07 '26

2

u/kinghalifax902 Mar 05 '26

2

u/Jesse8990 Mar 05 '26

I'm not an envious guy by any means. I'm happy for everyone but I'd be lying if I didn't see some of these posts and wish I had the mula to buy even a fraction of what you guys have.

u/BlandRusk06 Mar 05 '26

Nice collection! I see you have both the TM22 Feather and Pro. How do they compare? I am leaning towards the Feather just because of the lower price, but I do wonder if the Pro is not the better way to go.

u/HappyCan7250 Mar 05 '26

How do you like the TNA chassis? Looks sweet. I thought about getting one. How is it for cleaning?

1

u/Gun_nut762 Mar 06 '26

Super easy with the gap at the back it’s just enough room to slip the top cover off. The gas tube is a bit more of a hassle being held in with 4 screws at the front.

1

u/Current-Speed4096 Mar 05 '26

that tm22 is sick bro.

1

u/Thereal_Stormm006 Mar 05 '26

Should’ve gotten a Mossberg 500 & a Mossberg 590 Shockwave

1

u/Derringer373 Mar 05 '26

Lots of fun milsurp guns out there. Lee Enfields Mausers, Carcano, rare and exotic stuff. Lots of fun to get lost in.

1

u/Historical-Ruin-4579 Mar 08 '26

Hello, what is the name of the gun under the TM22 ?

2

u/ThursdayLines674 Mar 12 '26

SKS with an aluminum stock from TNA

1

u/CreditUnable4610 Mar 08 '26

What is the 4th one down from the top?

2

u/ThursdayLines674 Mar 12 '26

It’s an SKS with an aluminum stock from TNA
