Misc Jumped the Gun
I’m kicking myself right now. So about a month ago SFRC had a big sale where the 18” Derya went on sale for $499 and I jumped at it, but now I’m trying to figure out hand guard BS to get the faux suppressor on it.
Open the website today and what do I see?

I've heard that it will only be the polymer version in 12". At least to begin with.

I believe so. I don’t mind the longer barrel, I wanted a shorter handguard so the suppressor would be visible (Don’t love polymer) but also it looks like the pro has the MOE style stock too.

I mean, if you got the money
Buy this one. Sell yours for 499, or even take a bit of a loss and sell it for 450 or 400. You'll lose a tiny amount but get the gun you want. Basically like buying this gun for 550 or 600

Not to be a defeatist, but I thought the current government was working towards deleting the Derya's specifically. Am I wrong?

Edit: Links aren't specifically mentioning " banning" the rifle, just articles that involved idiots using them recklessly

I got one of the Pro 16" models right when they showed up. I also have owned an 18" model, you're not missing a ton in all honesty, I definitely prefer the 16" and short handguard, and honestly the biggest upgrade in the new stock design, but the 18" model is just as good. I actually had some minor issues with ejecting on the 16" model that my 18" didn't have, but a bit of polishing fixed that.
Either way, enjoy the 18" or grab a 16" too if you have the cash to spare. The prices are a bit better on the 16" , different importer apparently brought them in and offered them at a better price this time.

Well you see I bought a house, and homeownership is just a constant battle with water and trying to keep money in your accounts haha. But yes, one day.

Same. I have a Blaze 47 and a GSG16 in the safe now. It feels like as soon as I buy one of these, it'll be prohibed.

Just save yourself time, money, and heartache, and dont put a non-functioning larpie tacky fake suppressor on your gun. Seriously dont know why everyone is playing dress up with their guns.
I want to stick my head in a blender every time i see a tm 22 with shitty amazon accesories, fake suppressor, and cheap plastic mag covers. Looks like a dollarama toy

what if they use the fake suppressor that also functions as a linear comp or a brake? You definitely don't need it for a 22 but I kinda get it if you're using a bigger cartridge.

You're not wrong for the most part. I feel the same way about bipods but I do like muzzle breaks on my bolt actions.

I bought the 16” barrel GSG-16, intending to send it to DLask to get their 9” barrel put on, like the week before GSG announced the factory 9” barrel model. It happens 🤷♂️
