News / Politics / Activism Quebec had a really good turnout for the Gun Rights Protest. How do we get one in Montreal?
The title pretty much says everything, but I was thinking about how solid the turnout was for QC City, and it got me thinking why don't we do one in Montreal. It's a much larger population, and still in Quebec. How to these protests even get organized? I think it could be a much bigger turnout in a city like MTL.

You will not get the same turnout in Montreal, despite the higher population.
More apathetic urbanites, more anti-gun minds.
+ Getting on to the island sucks, congestion is always a thing.
Quebec City was a great spot for it. The provincial government is there, and it's in a location where it has access to rural hunters 2 hours in all directions.

Montreal is pretty much ground zero for the anti-gun sentiment in Canada. If we can flip Mordor, I mean Montreal, that will be the end of this.

There is no point to have a demonstration in Montreal. In addition to what the others have said, the CAQ also does not give a fuck about what happens in Montreal.

LOL the most anti gun city in the country. Possibly tied with Toronto. Good luck man people here are morons who associate any sort of gun ownership with big bad America

It was in Québec city because its where the parliament is. I think the CCFR and Guy Morin had a part to play in the organization ( I might be wrong ). An other one in Montreal would probably be less popular since its only 2 hours away so a lot of people from Montreal went to the one in Quebec. One in Ottawa could be nice though
