Very nice, how's acquiring ammo for these? And whats the average price per round?

The legend OP has a guide to reloading for it on his page (cutting down 7.62x54R brass)

Like Vintage Pieces mentioned, I posted a 2 minute reloading tutorial on here.

Long story short I cut a 7.62x54R down for casings and I use .445 roundball or I resize 45 soft lead bullets down to .445. I load only black powder since this gun is 150 years old. I usually load them to around 850fps with a 270gr flat nose.

.38 is only .357 bullets so you def qualify. Based on some of your other posts, this gassser is sending some 45 rounds at wicked speeds and power. Have you seen any wear since you got it? My webley started to get flame cutting on the bottom of the top strap.

Blast shields? Never heard of it? What does that entail?

I'll definitely consider it! Worth it to add longevity.

Didn't notice anything like that at all yet. I've run about 500 rounds through it without any frame stretch I could measure. Didn't notice any cuts or anything like that yet.

This thing is built like a skillet so it's definitely a solid piece of iron.
