Application / Regulation advice Is anyone shipping in hard cases?

As title, as per Canada Post regs they want a trigger lock AND locked in a secure container. This would add $60 minimum to shipping cost ( 2 locks and a cheap case). How are people shipping their online-sold firearms?

I've bought from every retailer imaginable, nobody ships in hard cases, and very few ship with locks or bolts removed.

CP doesn't check when shipping, but you need to say 19+ signature required to accept the package.

nope. I've asked some of the online sellers if there's an option to ship to the post office for pickup, because otherwise they're so lax about security and signatures. Don't want it to be delivered to the neighbours, or left on the doorstep. Hold it at the office and send me a card or an e-mail.... doesn't seem to be an option though. It's kinda wild really, when you consider all the noise about securing guns and keeping them off the streets

Its an option, you specify CARD FOR PICKUP and its held at your closest Canada post outlet
