Application / Regulation advice Is anyone shipping in hard cases?

As title, as per Canada Post regs they want a trigger lock AND locked in a secure container. This would add $60 minimum to shipping cost ( 2 locks and a cheap case). How are people shipping their online-sold firearms?

I had a guy ship me a gun in a hard case but I've never sent one like that. They charge by weight AND dimensions so it'll up the cost like crazy. I usually make a double layer box from scrap cardboard and tape it up strong, then walk into Shoppers and send it.
