Application / Regulation advice Is anyone shipping in hard cases?

As title, as per Canada Post regs they want a trigger lock AND locked in a secure container. This would add $60 minimum to shipping cost ( 2 locks and a cheap case). How are people shipping their online-sold firearms?

This is just my personal experience. Most of if not all of retailers all over Canada send them in the box that came with firearm. Or they just cardboard box it.

About 50 percent of them come with a cheaper trigger lock or zip tie, while most of them have no locks.

There were only 3 instances where they come with a case in my collection.

Because the firearms comes with one, the store ships with one coz the firearm is expensive.

I would recommend a case for expensive firearm.

I was very upset when I see the charging handle and the barrel that sticks out of the cardboard boxes coz they pack it too tight. And those are over $2900 and $3500 respectively.

One has a minor scuff damage that I had to take it to a gun shop for repair but at least the company honor the repair and refund the amount.
