I think they are considering even lower tech lol. Gravel floor, unfinished plywood, and a big window with a hinged cover. Propane heater likely.

No major luxury or comfort. Just enough to get out of the elements. The club does not make a ton of money.

Depending where you are located you should reach out to local sawmills or the mennonite/amish community. If your building code allows it off-cut slabs are usually free and sometimes you can get lumber out of them. Free siding/roof worst case if they arent structural quality.

No problem! If you hunt as well it could be an avenue to building a relationship and asking them for hunting permission down the line.
