The worst part those increases you talked avout is just minimum wage creeping up, which shouldnt even count as any kind of tangible increase.  

Especially that rent, I work to live in a rented apartment, work all day every week of every month. At what point do we acknowledge we are slaves? That it was cheaper cost wise and optics wise for the rich and government to give up actual slavery and move to this system?

I bought my matching # Russian sks with an ATI folding stock, 2 detachable mags, a shitty aftermarket dust cover with integrated pic rail, shitty red dot, a bunch of strippers, 1400 rounds of ammo in a metal ammo can, cheap hard plastic case, trigger lock, and an ounce of awesome weed for 500$ in 2019.

I wish I realized how good I had it.

I bought my all number matching Super Grade Russian SKS at Canadian tire for $84.99 on sale from $124.99. There was a whole rack of them. There was also a Kar 98 for $250 and I thought that was crazy. If only I knew.

When I grew out of Lego I sold it all. The sets I remember having total around $10,000 for loose condition.

I had a complete set of the first gen Pokemon cards. They went through a period where the price was sliding when Ebay came around and the pool went from local collectors to worldwide, so I sold the set on the downslide.

Ninja Turtles toys, N64 games... I did the math on GME afterwards and if I pulled every penny from credit cards and LOCs I could have made $16,000,000.

Can't horde everything and can't recklessly gamble. Just tell hindsight to chill out a bit.

Definitely 👍 I got a ton of good milsurp stuff for peanuts. I was fortunate. I still have all my retro gaming stuff too. Held on to that. I never sold much, so no regrets there. I just wish I had bought more of some things.

I bought 2 Russian Sks with 500 rounds of ammo for $500 in 2013. Sold them both for $750 when I moved in 2015 and I’ve regretted it ever since.

I think my buddy got a Daniel Defense AR for around $1500 back then, and another got a Norinco AR for like $500.

I paid $175 for a beautiful one in 2012, and $200 for a shitty one in 2020. I don’t think either one should be worth more than $450.

I remember my dad coming home from the local gun shop and telling us about these Asian rifles they were selling for $35 each or a whole crate for $300.

Bought a used Russian a couple years ago for $550, an unissued French tickler the other day for $799

It’s a great rifle, I still think it’s worth it $800. It’s robust as hell, pretty accurate and lots of aftermarket upgrades/customization. If I owned firearms in 2013 I would have bought a crate.

Wasn't even that long ago, I bought 2 russian sks's in 2019 for $229 a pop. In 2013 you could buy an svt 40 for $300-350.
