Fix my gun Spends $3500 on a rifle…
Went to shoot my new 307 today. Nope. Weatherby put a short action spring and mechanism in my 7prc magnum bolt. I don’t know how this even happened. Gotta send it back now. Sad Friday…

I think basically every manufacturer does this as they have to proof test the barrel, so clearly Weatherby skipped a major part of the QC and safety testing of a rifle.
I actually had a guy complain recently when I sold an unfired rifle, he messaged me claiming there was copper fouling in the bore, so some manufacturers seem to put several rounds at least down the barrel before sending them out.
