News / Politics / Activism Garbage Journalism

Post image

Sent a message and considering emailing the journalist personally. Read the title, read the article, look at the photo. This is the kind of garbage journalism that leaves uninformed Canadians supporting Gun Grab policies. Its not just the CBC.

Is it not a semi-automatic rifle?

Let people see that not all semis are scary looking

while true, the issue is headlines are meant to be grabby and people often don't read whole articles. Unfortunately a large portion of people not in the know, will just start to associate police encounters + "semi autos" which will continue to demonize the style of firearm.

I'm impressed the news didn't label it a "nearly automatic" rifle

"near-assault style" or "assault style adjacent"
