Fix my gun RIA tm22 upgrades

So I have a RIA tm22 with the fixed stock and I absolutely hate it. Has anyone changed the stock to an adjustable one? If so how hard was it? Was it mill or commercial spec?

It comes with the commercial size buffer tube. I looked at replacing mine, but it's not really worth it. I'm used to it fixed now.

I was reading that some people had to dremel something. Is that what you were going to need to do?

Added a twonie behind the tube, polished the bolt with 2500 grit on the flats and it has become very reliable.

TM-22s accommodate a commercial sized tube. A couple of wraps of electrical tape like it's plumbers tape on a mil-spec tube and you're good to go. Keep it cheap.

Defs go with milspec. Its pretty easy you just gotta get an armors wrench, loosen the castle nut and screw off the buffer tube. As the tm22 isnt an AR there is no buffer spring or weight in there you may want to add a washer in the receiver as a barrier to the rubber pad. Also be cautious not to over screw the buffer tube too far into the receiver.

(There is no such thing as a RIA TM22. Ones like yours with the RIA logos are actually Derya TM22 that was specially made in Turkey for export to USA. RIA being the USA importer. So yours was first imported into USA by RIA, then imported into Canada by someone else)
