BCL MRX mags in Renegade

As title suggests:

I bought some mags, but encountering the following:

  • bolt will not go forward
  • extremely tight in mag well

After comparing to pmags, it seems the spine of the MRX mag is higher.

Is it legal to mod these mags? Anyone have experience making this work?

I just wanna go pew pew with a 20 rounder lol

You can’t modify a mag, that’s why those fins are there - to stop it from going into anything else.

But there’s nothing that says you can’t modify the mag well on the gun. So you could make the receiver take the original mag if you really wanted.

However once the mag goes in the receiver it becomes illegal because it’s over capacity. So if you get caught with the two of them together shooting you’re in trouble. But separate they are ok.

But separate they are ok." yeah that's not true. if it were, it would be illegal to put 10 round pistol AR mags into semi auto AR mag guns, and it wasn't. it was literally spelled out on the RCMP's website that that scenario is fine.

To my understanding they are two different things. LAR-15 mags don’t require any modifications to the rifles to work. The MRX mags are 20 rounds because bolt actions have no limit. And we are talking about modifying another guns mag well to take MRX mags that it wasn’t originally designed for. That part is not cut and dry like the LAR-15 mags, I don’t think there is anything saying you can modify a gun to take any size magazine you want.

They are not two different things.  You are allowed to modify gun magwells.  That's literally what a magwell adapter is.  Those are perfectly legal.  Mrx bison mags are legal to put in any gun that can physically accept them.  Go read the RCMP website about it. It's plain as day
