Liberals were here

"Weapons of the Plains" exhibit at the RCMP Heritage Center has no guns. "Removed for conservation", right! 😜

I can't believe the Liberals had the balls to use the word "ideology" as a dig on the Conservatives before 2015, only to turn around and pull shit like this.

Museums have large storages for items not on display as exposure to light for long periods of time degrades the material and they need to rest. With firearms (if they don’t have a special coating on the glass) the wood furniture will deteriorate, as well as oil will need to be applied (basic weapons care). Clearly someone who knows very little about museums trying to put a spin, good try though! :)

Every single firearm removed at once? For "restoration"? Give me a break.

It’s at least as reasonable of an assumption as the idea this is a government ploy to hide firearms

Fair point, but I have done very similar things with both firearms, blades and clothing displays, where we remove the entire collection and just rotate it out to the controlled storage to let it rest, and bring new items up. While this might not be specific to the case here because of the restoration, it could be along those lines. Trust me I’d love to see these too, but IOT make sure they’re there for everyone to enjoy forever a little work needs to be done every so often. Cheers! :)
