Crusader Arms Templar

So the new ban lists pretty much every semi auto 223/556 except the Crusader Arms Crypto and Templar... it also states that any AR180 variant is prohibited, so it's safe to say that while I'm in possession of a firearm that is not specifically listed (for now) I still can't use it? The next election can't come quick enough.

I couldn't fet a straight answer from anywhere so I emailed the Alberta CFO because I knew someone would kick up a stink about me using mine, and the CFO themselves said:

"In discussion with one of the Firearms Officers here, the firearm you inquired about - Crusader Arms Templar - does not have an firearms reference number and we can find no listing of it being newly prohibited or of its classification being modified.

As long as you are in compliance with the storage and transport handling requirements for non-restricted firearms, you are permitted to use this firearm at a shooting range.

If you encounter any issues, please provide us with the details and we can certainly look into it further and connect with our law enforcement partners"

I saved and screenshot the emails and low and behold the first time I took it to the range I had a fudd come over and proceed to grill me about not being allowed to use it, even after I explained everything and showed him the emails he wouldn't stop so I just turned around and kept shooting to drown his moaning out.

People have said I shouldn't have emailed them but if it's being used it's on their radar, unfortunately I have to go to a range, I wish had my own land or spot to go to
