Absolutely, I deal with enough nasty and harsh chemicals at work. I’ll wear latex gloves when using the cleaner. Once finished I’ll stick any patches and qtips in the palm of a glove. Then pull them off at the wrist as you would providing first aid. Afterwards when oiling no.

I use g96. I had a brain fart recently and didn’t use gloves the last time I cleaned one of my firearms. It got me thinking to ask. Good idea on the used patches/qtips. I’ll remember that trick for next time thanks. I have a box of nitrile gloves.

You'll be absolutely fine. Just as long as you wash your hands when you're done so that you aren't getting solvent on other stuff after.

I made sure I washed my hands before I touched anything else. I figured a little exposure to my hands wasn’t a big deal.

Not at all. The stuff is made to be applied to, and left on, firearms that you're going to be handling. As long as you don't drink it, you're good to go. Though I wouldn't blame you for being tempted considering how good G96 smells
