I’m looking at getting into a new .22 semi auto rifle, specifically the Derya TM-22 but I’m worried about what will be banned or is on the list. Since it is an “AR” look-a-like rifle.. bit of a newbie, just looking for some more input on the situation in Canada with rimfire semi autos. Thanks

The 10/22 is a super easy recommendation to make. Incredible customization, super reliable, and can still be had for a decent price. Because of its ubiquity as well, I expect any ban in the future that involves the 10/22 will have a lot of resistance, similar to the SKS.

IMO, a great option is the GSG-16 with the short barrel. I see it all the time and it looks awesome

Looks really cool, but had some poor reviews on cabelas website.. might stay away from it

It’s all about ammo. Just get high muzzle energy 22lr and it should cycle fine
