This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

I applied in BC on Jan 3 2023 and upon logging in today it says my license has been issued and sent in the mail. Does this seem exceptionally fast?

should be the normal timeline for online apps, just wondering if your references were called at all? or was it only thru emails?

they were only contacted through emails
