I was same situation as I selected yes in c16d for mental issue history and got my RPAL a month ago.

I attached a paper explaining everything honestly and state I am no harm to community. Did NOT get doctor notes just plain explanation. But I am a little different as I stopped the treatment at time sending application.

If you currently still taking medication then safer to either call cfo to seek advice, or get doctor note and send to them. Which province are you? If call them Make sure select specific extension that reaches cfo directly. Extension number is different based on province

I sent in application mid Aug 2022. Approved and issued on late Dec 2022. Received pal card on mid Jan 2023
