I sent in my Pal application by letter as I did not know about the online application for first time applicants, does anybody know if there's a way for me to check the status of my application other than simply calling them and asking?

Create an account at - https://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/firearms/individual-web-services Once you sign in, you will have 2 options - Applicant and holder. Go to applicant and then input your details to see the status.

Yep, already looked at it. My application only got there today so I assume it's going to take at least a day or two for it to get put up on the website
