Hey, i am looking for some kind of page to give you all the info of what you need. I am a complete noob. Do i need a safety course and then a test course?

Safety course is usually followed by the test right after. Find a CFSC near you and take it, PAL-only is 1 day, about 8 hours, RPAL course is required to teach all PAL stuff too (as an RPAL lets you buy both R and NR guns) so you usually do 8 hours one day, then 4-6ish the second and take your test right there.

If I don’t want a handgun, can I get other stuff with just the cfsc? Thanks for responding btw

You need to do the CFSC to get any gun, even non restricted. If you only care about Non-Restricted, you can do the 1 day CFSC. If you want Restricted guns too, you need to do the CRFSC which covers the Non-Restricted course on 1 day and the Restricted stuff on the second.

Handguns are frozen/banned right now (unless you already owned one before the ban) but you can still get SBR's with a Restricted license.

If you only care about longer rifles you can just get a regular PAL, but SBR's are pretty cool and if the court challenge against the OIC wins, there's a chance that AR15's become legal under restricted status again. If we get a Conservative majority in '25 there is a good chance that pistols become unbanned too.
