Quick question! My application is requesting another picture because it did not meet the standards. Now my photo guarantor is unavailable, so I need to choose someone else... How heavily would it matter if I asked someone with a criminal record(from 30 plus years ago.) to be my photo guarantor or someone like my mother if possible as I work a lot and work schedule conflicts so it's hard to meet up with them. So I am just thinking of the easiest opportunities. Any one experience something similar.. Or used individuals who have criminal records from year's past.

A record is active so long as the person its attached to is alive and has not recieved a pardon for it. Depending on what they did and why they have not/can not pursue a pardon then I think it runs the entire range including rejected.

Smartest choice is to simply not have a criminal record show up at any point on your application period.

Thanks for your reply!

So to summarize I should avoid using individuals with criminal records as a photo guarantors.

Thank you so much!

That's not very nice to that individual or your friend tbh, I wouldn't be your friend after that tbh.

I am not sure if I understand your reply. You are telling me it is not nice to my friend if I do not ask them to be my photo guarantor because their background can hinder my application process?
