This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Oh, to be an Albertan. A mere 2 months. In ON it's like a year.

Such different timelines.

I’m in AB too, simple RPAL renewal Applied: June 4th 2022 Issued: Dec 22. Arrived: No.

I got mine in 30 days both Rpal and pal and I'm in Ontario

I’m in Alberta. Received by mail in September 23rd and still showing “initial review”. Not sure why they are getting to people like the OP who applied months after me before getting to my application.

Mine was received and has been in “initial review” since May. Feels like they just keep tossing it to the bottom.
