Full RPAL Timeline (Alberta):

- November 28/30: Non-Restricted Safety Course

- December 3: Restricted Safety Course

- December 4: Application Submitted

- January 2: License issued

- January 30: License arrived in the mail

I am located in Alberta and I checked "no" for all questions that could hold up an application. The application was done using the online system (not mail in).

I also called in last week on January 23rd and the representative told me that I would get my license in approximately 3-6 weeks due to printer issues, so I was very shocked when I found it waiting for me in my mailbox! Hopefully if you were told something similar your license is on its way :)

Such different timelines.

I’m in AB too, simple RPAL renewal Applied: June 4th 2022 Issued: Dec 22. Arrived: No.

I got mine in 30 days both Rpal and pal and I'm in Ontario

I’m in Alberta. Received by mail in September 23rd and still showing “initial review”. Not sure why they are getting to people like the OP who applied months after me before getting to my application.

Mine was received and has been in “initial review” since May. Feels like they just keep tossing it to the bottom.

I'm in Ontario and I took my restricted and non restricted courses Sept 19th and 20th. Still no card😪

-Application sent Dec.12

-Application received at rcmp Dec.15

-CC charged Dec.30

  • just called and it's at photo review stage

Mailed my application. Didn't realize online was a thing untill a week later lol

What was the number you called to get the update? I had my application received at RCMP December 19th and still nothing.

1-800-731-4000. Then I just went through the prompts and was on hold for maybe 10 mins max before getting through to someone. I also called arround 11:00am pst if that helps

Damn. I’m also in AB. Going on 8 months now since my application was received and it still says that only my initial review has been done. CC was charged in October

Did the rcmp call your reference?or they call you?I sent my application jan23,just regular mailed..so I don’t know if they received or not..I’m in Alberta

The RCMP surprisingly (and rather worryingly) did not call me or any of my references. I went to this link in order to check on my application status; just log in using your bank or other sign-in partner. If it doesn't show up, chances are they have not received it.
