Chiappa M1 is mostly cool because it looks like a M1 Carbine. It is not an exact reproduction, but is reasonably accurate in appearance. Most of the reviews I have read are not all that favourable. Honestly, stick to a well made modern 22. If you are looking for a semi-automatic, Savage A22, Winchester Wildcat, or the always popular Ruger 10/22.

There are quite a few, but I would start by looking at the Savage B22.

I have two Savage MkII rifles.
