I might have missed the train on that one, but I just learned that Dlask Arms Corp. Closed around 6 months ago.

I red that it was because the owner was retiring, but I can't help it, it feels to me that the political climate might have helped it a bit...

They were my Go to business for high end Ruger custom 10/22 rifles. I built 3 so far using their components.

I saw there was only a few receivers left in stock where they now sell all their remaining inventory. Couldn't help myself and I grabbed one.

I wish the owner a nice retirement, even though I am sad of seeing another firearm store closing amidst this weird era.

Advent Arms in BC is clearing the remaining Dlask goods.

Most of the stuff is sold out now. But there is some takedown parts still available.

What chassis are those rifles in?

I was so sad to hear they closed.

I really wanted to build a 10/22 from them.

Wasn't the guys main thing 1911's and then the handgun freeze essentially closed that part of the business?

I've been seeing Joe since his first shop on Annacis Island. I'm pretty sure I helped put his kid through school with the amount of $$ I spent in that place.

I remember walking in on the RCMP that were inspecting his books over his importation of "flare" launchers the popo didn't approve of. They looked at me and asked if I had anything to do with whatever the heck they were doing and I said "nope!" and walked out lol. Just more fishing expedition bs gunshops gottta deal with I guess.

I think I grabbed one of the first shorty 870's he made. The receiver was from a police surplus gun from QC. This was way before the market was flooded with turk clones. Had a lot of finger wagging and "that's a sawed off!" comments until they caught on. Ah, memories...

I bought a super shorty 870 from Dlask years ago and just built a 10/22 with one of their tuff22 receivers. I was a 2 minute drive away in Tilbury Industrial Park in Delta and went there on my lunch to have him seat my kidd barrel a week before he turned out the lights. Too convenient having a quality gunsmith nearby. If Josef or Lee see this, thanks for the quality work over the years🍻

Hi guy's. Yes Joe has retired. Spencer, the owner of Advent Arms took the remaining stock that Dlask had and is selling it for Joe. Spencer was Joe's apprentice and we are honoured that he trusts us to sell off his remaining inventory, rather than his having to keep his shop open. If you go to the Dlask website, it will bounce you over to the Advent Arms website. We have 10/22, CZ and 1911 stuff here. Going forward we plan to 1: finish selling our Dlask Arms inventory. 2: Make or supply what there is a market for after Joe's inventory is gone. And 3: Carry on Joe's tradition of inventing new and efficient products.
