What I've learned is, depends on your budget.

Can you afford a cheaper but decent $250 or more  lpvo? Then definitely get the lpvo.  The magnification will really improve  the flexibility of the rifle.

If you can't  afford the 250 foe a decent lpvo, you can get some really decent budget red dots.

So really it's, get the lpvo if you can afford it.

From someone who bought a cheapo lpvo, killed it the first few shots, and now has to use my Red dot until I save up for a lpvo to replace it

Well you can also always move the red dot to another rifle if u have some or hand gun lol I’ve found cheap scope = not so great I made that mistake a couple times and also learned that my choices from now on are only Leupold or vortex for riflescopes, holosun or vortex make somewhat decent red dots for the price I own both will never buy another bushnell tho… too bad Nikon stopped making scopes lol

I was considering vortex for their basic lpvo. Forever warranty so  if I kill it too, they just send me a new one.

Leupold also has an amazing warranty vortex was my go to till I bought the wife a Leupold night and day difference even at a lesser cost point the glass is amazing and more eye relief. Either of those are my picks for riflescopes just leaning towards leupold now

If you get an illuminated leupold, the warranty is limited.
