Application / Regulation advice Alberta Olympic Exemption for handguns

Hey guys I'm interested in getting the Olympic Exemption in Alberta. I'm still trying to understand the process a bit as I've heard some people have gotten it without a letter from the SFC. I'd like to get a fn502 from IRG probably so I can convert it to 9mm but just curious if someone could explain their experience as It seems to vary a little by province. Thanks!

I contacted the bc cfo for a pre approval for the fn502… all the said was just have the transfer started. I also asked irunguns if they have had any issues with transfers, and they said no.

I know for private transfers I believe you have to contact the CFO. My transfer was from a business so I’m not sure if that changes things? For me personally, all I know is that both times the govt contacted me about this transfer, it was New Brunswick

I think business have a more straightforward online process. CFP will contact buyer, and perhaps BC cfo will still approve of the transfer as well
