Gun and gear reviews FAL-ish handguard for SKS

Almost done with this project.

Two piece SKs handguard out of PA612-CF with aluminum inserts for heat dissipation.

The notch you have on the right side rear of the chassis should also be on the left side as well for use of aftermarket Pic rails. I had to notch the left side myself. Just for future design

Good feedback. I use bad ace one so it did not occur to me but I will add a cutout

Ok i had pretty decent range session today and wanted to provide some extra feedback.

The magwell is really nice and the tighter tolerance is good imo, a slight flare would be good. All my mags function flawlessly except for one, but I was able to adjust the feed lips which sorted the issue.

The biggest weakness is the forend, it needs some reinforcement and rigidity. Over time while using a bipod it ended warping/sagging quite a bit, still functional but the reality. It might start touching the barrel.

If eventually this get machined from aluminum it won’t be a problem, however I think a mlok forend is better then a picatinny rail.

Do you have the two screw forened version or 3 screw ?

Got it. I have a reinforced version with MLOK instead of picatinny in the works. Give me a week and I will mail it out to you free of charge if you DM me your details. Thanks for the feedback.
