No matter how many guns are in the hands of the public, we wouldn’t stand a chance against modern U.S. military equipment and warfare. Come on.

But also never gonna happen.

Right because the Tabian was defeated by the US and the Viet Cong? The US hasn't beaten an opponent for a long time. Look at Iran they can't even beat them.

Yes they can cause damage but beat Candians, no way.

Do you know how to build an IED or a culvert bomb? Because I don't.

I remember someone on the main Canada sub telling me that they would make molotov cocktails and be a freedom fighter  if we were invaded. I replied something along the lines of "You know, doing that would be even more effective if you had a gun. Not just bottles and gasoline. And likely you'd live a bit longer since you don't need to be I'm throwing range of them."

"Drone" this, "Drone" that...

I'm pretty sure I can find combat footage of drone teams on both sides of the Russian invasion of Ukraine getting wiped from SOF teams infiltrating behind the front lines because the sentry either did a shit job or just got unlucky in not spotting the intruders in time.

When the country that has pioneered drone combat still issues their pilots with guns & armour, that's a message practically being shouted from the rooftops.

Also, did you show them the photos of the aftermath of a saboteur attempting to take out a Russian bmp in a convoy with a molotov, only to be shredded by canon fire?

I should have! And great point on arming the drone pilots because they are in the middle of the conflict too, not safe and cozy far away
