They could send you $2 and say you were compensated.

I guess they could, but you would be able to challenge the adequacy of that compensation in court.

You really have faith the court would side with you after everything we've seen from this gov't?

If the government doesn't introduce legislation to explicitly override my common law and statutory rights to adequate compensation (which they haven't), then yes.

If the government does introduce legislation to override those rights (which they won't), I will be the first to join you in marching in the streets against it.
