Also can’t spell liberals without Lie and BS. I hope this is ruled in the favour of common sense.

Can't spell conservative without con. Works both ways eh.

Did the conservatives try to push these gun grabs?

Last I checked Harper killed the wasteful long gun registry.

This isn't a both sides moment. The liberals picked this battle, made us pay for it and now it's burning a hole in our pockets

It's entirely on them.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/poilievre-handgun-ban-1.7514585

Important to note that despite saying many of the right things, Pierre Poilievre didn’t propose to dissolve the anti-gun legislative regime designed by the Liberals to criminalize responsible firearm users, confiscate our equipment, and eradicate gun culture. He’s a slimy fuck who speaks out of both sides of his mouth as he finds convenient. The Liberals are bad on this issue, but the Cons aren’t much better and I don’t trust them.

I love how the "what about the conservatives" and "Pierre bad" folks always come crawling out of the woodwork whenever a light is shined on the absolute shit show that is the Liberals.

Pierre Poilievre didn’t propose to dissolve the anti-gun legislative regime designed by the Liberals to criminalize responsible firearm users, confiscate our equipment, and eradicate gun culture.

He's been pretty open about undoing the current firearms mess, including call the liberals about it in the house, clip from 2024

Plus here's him on the campaign trail at a rally

I personally felt he should have hammered more on that and cost of living (but hindsight is a bitch) anyways but Canadians are very gun shy and the Liberals would have run home with the "conservatives want guns on the streets" (they've done this before).

He's openly supportive of us right now

He’s a slimy fuck who speaks out of both sides of his mouth as he finds convenient. The Liberals are bad on this issue, but the Cons aren’t much better and I don’t trust them.

Then stop carrying water for a party that's spent the last decade making life harder. The same party that's pushing draconian spy bills and confiscating your property.

I love the narrative of "I don't trust him" because it doesn't engage the platform or the policy at all, typical vibe based argument, just like the gun grab. You realize that undoing the firearms shit and simplified classification has been part of the conservative platform for years right?

But sure, PP bad.

Precisely my point. Thank you kind sir.

Not debating that fact at all. just saying everyone thinks the play is to vote con when that won't do sweet fuck all to this current situation. It will only make other situations much worse.

Voting for liberal or anyone else won't help. At least cons are vocally anti-gungrab. If not commenting out of spite, what solutions are you offering?

Show me where I said it would?

The inverse of voting for cons which you said would "make other situations worse", is to vote for another party which somehow wouldnt make things worse by extension. You made the claim.

Not debating that fact at all. just saying everyone thinks the play is to vote con when that won't do sweet fuck all to this current situation.

This is just wrong. All it takes is an OIC to undo a ton of bans and put guns back onto the range.

Always love seeing folks come out to play the "the otherside is bad" card when the current ruling government is actively making things worse. Classic.

It will only make other situations much worse.

Oh boy here we go, it'll always be worse with the conservatives. Please, explain to me which parts of the conservative platform you disagree with and how things would be worse.

It's not wrong. You're talking out of your ass if you think cons would reverse that. They have never stated they would, you just have an abundance of copium. They should rename this sub conservativeguns.

It's not wrong. You're talking out of your ass if you think cons would reverse that.

The conservatives have nothing to lose by following through on their campaign promises. They would lose more by NOT following through. An OIC takes zero effort and it gives them plenty of ammunition to be like "see, we are doing what we promised. Conservatives have spent years promising to repeal the Liberal firearms bans and cancel the buyback program. You can argue they won't follow through, but claiming they never said it just means you haven't been paying attention.

They have never stated they would, you just have an abundance of copium.

A Conservative Government is committed to cost-effective gun control programs designed to keep guns out of the hands of criminals while respecting the rights of law-abiding Canadians to own and use firearms responsibly. We recognize the legitimacy of private ownership of firearms and will resist any domestic or international pressure to the contrary. A Conservative government will not deprive Canadian Citizens of legally owned firearms. A Conservative government recognizes that civilian firearms ownership is a Canadian Heritage. A Conservative government would streamline Firearms classification by adopting the Simplified Classification System. A Conservative government would order a review of firearms related laws to identify parts of those Acts that have no public safety value

Imagine going on the internet and telling bold face lies to carry water for the Liberals. Yikes.

They should rename this sub conservativeguns.

Ah there we go, now we're fully mask off. Please continue pushing the Conservatives and Pierre bad narrative. It only shows how you don't engage at all with the policies or the platform. Also, disagreeing with Liberal gun policy doesn't make a firearms community "ConservativeGuns." Plenty of gun owners support different parties but still oppose ineffective policies that target licensed owners instead of criminals and smugglers.

You haven't made a single tangible point aside from "I don't trust the cons" and "Cons bad". Meanwhile the party you're trying to cover for (by implying the conservatives would somehow be worse) is pushing some seriously unsavoury stuff yet you won't hold them accountable at all?

Don't get mad because you got called out your misinformation.

Do better.
