Buy recommendations Makasi, Carmel, Both, or Neither?

Both non-restricted 5.56 short-stroke gas piston semiauto accepting Stanag mags. Both taking orders with similar delivery dates. What is your choice and your reasons?

Edit: So to summarize what y'all are saying: - Makasi for AR aesthetics and compatibility, - Carmel for reliability, - Both if you hate money, - Neither because of potential bans.

Why do people keep coming back to the polymer thing? If it's good enough for severe use in a military setting it's more than adequate for plinking at the range or hunting.

Scar also has a plastic lower. I bet suckers in this sub will pay 5k just to get their hands on that baby. Bren3 is also half plastic now, I will buy that beauty in a heartbeat. It’s just silly reason to show that they made the right choice.
