Buy recommendations Looking to buy a .306

I’m looking to buy my first 30-06 but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by the options. I’m looking for something under 1K but don’t know where to go from there. Any advice on brands/what I should avoid? (Edited because I am newer to this and put .306 instead of 30-06)

What are you using it for? 6.5cm can often be found for cheaper and is more pleasant to shoot.

I used to be an anti-6.5 fudd. I must say, it is very pleasant to shoot. I'm keeping my .308 though.

Recoil is easier for sure. Shoots flat. Less stopping power.

That's kind of the main points. I like it, but not enough to replace my .308

No, and that's why folks pick Grendel... The Creedmoor is a comfortable match for 308 in most situations. But agreed that we have fewer commercial loads to choose from compared to AR country, and the bolt guns aren't as diverse.
